NORYL: - Modified PPO Resins
High heat resistance
Excellent dimensional stability
Good load bearing characteristics
Low creep
Halogen-free flame retardant resins
Excellent hydrolytic stability, low moisture absorption
Low density
Excellent electrical properties
Good processing characteristics

Characteristics: Noryl resins are based on modified polyphenylene oxide (PPO) technology developed by GE plastics. Noryl resin is an extremely versatile. The basic properties of NORYL resins can be modified to achieve a variety of characteristics, excellent dimensional stability, low mould shrinkage and very low creep behavior at elevated temperatures. Available in both reinforced and unreinforced grades, with varying levels of heat and UV resistance, Noryl allows engineers exceptional design freedom.
Chemical and Environmental Resistance: Noryl resins are especially noted for their outstanding hydrolytic stability. Its low water absorption rate-both at room temperature and at elevated temperatures-contributes to the retention of properties and dimensional stability in the presence of water, high humidity and even steam environments. In addition, Noryl resins are also virtually unaffected by most aqueous solutions, detergents, acids and bases. Care should be taken when NORYL has to be in contact with many halogenated and aromatic hydrocarbons
